We are Atomic Betty!

"Atomic" is to be full of power and gusto.  "Betty", as described in the Urban Dictionary, is an honest, brave, and loyal woman.  A natural beauty.  She is soulful, connected, and driven.  A modern day triple-threat, go-getter.

As members of this club, we women walk the talk.  We come from all backgrounds and athletic abilities.  We use our personal spark for life to motivate others.  We are adventurous.  We show respect, kindness, and lend support to our fellow sisters in the club.  Together we achieve awesomeness!  We celebrate success!   

I am a level 1 certified coach, licensed social worker, and proud Ironman finisher.  I hold no sponsorships, licensure, or monetary ties to any of the resources I provide to the club.  I completed my first sprint Triathlon all self-coached.  I used videos from the internet to learn about Triathlon.  I took swim DVDs from the public library and used a community pool to begin swimming.  I had access to a local state park with a lake to practice open water swimming - always with a buddy for safety.  I used mostly recycled sports equipment including "Junkyard Dog" - a mountain bike I salvaged and fixed up.  I am not elite.  I carried an extra 20 pounds - okay 30 - but I did this!  I felt a sense of empowerment by finishing my first Triathlon and I wanted others - like me - to feel it too!  I wanted to build a community of women to support and encourage to do the unthinkable.  It was out of that passion that I created the Atomic Betty Club.  We are a sisterhood of beginners and experienced athletes with a love for all the sports related to Triathlon.
